What we do

• Take apart and reassemble bed frames, including headboards, footboards and side rails.
• Remove and refit table legs and leaves, and separate desk hutches and returns.
• Break down and rebuild bookcases, shelving units and freestanding wardrobes.
• Bag and label screws, bolts and brackets and keep each bag with its furniture.
• Set reassembled pieces where you want them in the room.

What you arrange

• Assembly instructions for flat-pack or unusual pieces, if you still have them.
• Emptying drawers, shelves and wardrobes before they are taken apart.
• Hardware you removed yourself, kept together and labeled.
• Replacement parts for hardware that is missing, stripped or broken.
• A qualified tradesperson for anything wired, plumbed, gas-fitted or mounted on a wall.

Not included

• Mounting or taking down TVs, mirrors, shelves or cabinets on walls.
• Electrical work, including light fixtures, ceiling fans and hardwired items.
• Plumbing or gas work, and installing or connecting appliances such as washers, dryers, dishwashers and stoves.
• Built-in cabinetry, modular closet systems and furniture anchored to a wall.
• Repairing furniture that is already damaged, loose or missing parts.

Include in your request

A useful request says what you know and marks what is still uncertain.

• Each piece that needs taking apart or putting back together, with the type if you know it, such as a queen platform bed or a flat-pack bookcase.
• Whether pieces are reassembled at the same address, at a new address you arrange transport to, or not at all.
• Any piece you are unsure about, so it can be reviewed before it is included.
