Before you request help: the property

Floors, stairs, elevator access and the approximate walk between vehicle and entry.
Building reservations, permitted work hours and loading-area rules, confirmed with the building.
How the property will be opened and who can answer arrival questions.
Fragile, bulky or unusually heavy items, described for review before the day.

Before the day: ready work and open work

Packed boxes labeled by destination room, fragile contents flagged.
Anything still unpacked, listed.
Who supplies any agreed packing materials or equipment, confirmed in writing.
Disassembly or specialist handling listed — not assumed to be included without written confirmation.
Documents, medication, keys and personal valuables kept with you.
Your vehicle or carrier arranged by you; where you can, get labor confirmed in writing before a non-refundable reservation, or keep the reservation flexible.

On move day

Written labor plan and remaining questions in one place.
Children and pets away from the working area; walkways clear.
If conditions differ from the plan, pause and discuss the change with the responsible contact before extra work begins.

Before we leave

Completed tasks reviewed together, anything unresolved noted.
Hours, charges and next steps confirmed through the agreed process.

What shapes a labor price

Crew size and hours, minimum paid hours, how time beyond the agreed hours is charged, travel to the site, stairs, access and carry distance, and materials and equipment. The written plan states each one.
